Lace is one of the very few fashion trends that can truly withstand the test of time. The reason is because it is unequivocally sexy.  The semi translucent material leaves just the right amount to the imagination.  Lace, with it’s see through qualities, is unbelievably stunning whether in couture, casual wear or bridal, as seen on Kate Middleton during her royal wedding. In 2012 lace is once again a major factor on the runway and the red carpet being seen on stars like Emma Bunton, Mila Kunis, Kristen Stewart and Fergie. All of these fashionable ladies have the perfect balance of ladylike and sultry in their lace ensemble.

For a day time lacy look try pairing, a layered lace neutral toned blouse with bold colored trousers. The colored pants give the look a youthful edge while the lace makes it grownup and sophisticated. Finish off the ensemble with cute ballet flats and you’re good to go to the office or out for lunch. For a night time lace look we suggest a black lace high waist mini skirt with a tucked white tank top.  Finish off you look with a pair of killer red heels and you will be the epitome of sultry temptress.

Try The Trend Tips

Looking to put together a lovely lace ensemble, here are a few tips to help you along the way.

Find lace pieces that hug your body, we prefer fitted lace to loose lace. If your garment is overly big than you may look a little more grandma-ish than you intend.

Do wear lace with edgier accessories; add spiked heels, a skull print scarf or a leather jacket.  This will make for an interesting and sexy contrast.

Avoid head to toe lace; too much lace can make you look like you ready for a tea party.  Instead pair your lace pieces with harsher fabrics like, denim or tweed.
