There is no better way to make a flashy statement at prom than a sequin encrusted gown. Sequins have been a super popular trend this year, and along with being chic for everyday fashion, tasteful sequins look phenomenal on prom dresses.  Bedazzling sequins are a great way to stand out at prom, whether on a cocktail length dress or a full length gown, sequin accented dresses are both youthful and chic.  You could opt for an entirely sequin gown to make the most of the “wow” factor that this trend has to offer.  Or just go for a gown with a few sequin accents to ensure you have a subtle, light-catching glow all evening.  No matter in large or small doses, a sequin dress is the way to go if you want to shimmer and shiny at prom this year.  There are tons of ways to work sequins into your prom style, in both large and little ways, but we have our top three favorites.

White Sequin Gowns
White sequin gowns have been favored on the red carpet this season by ladies like Taylor Swift and Selma Hayek. We love this look because of its perfect blend of pure ethereal beauty and vintage glamour.  A full length white sequin gown is a great way to make a sophisticated and elegant statement at prom this year.

Ombre Sequin Dresses
Typically mixing two different trends in one dress isn’t a good idea; however this rule doesn’t apply to the ombre color style  and the sequins trend. We love the look of a neutral toned sequin ombre gown, in both full and cocktail length.  The only important thing to keep in mind with this type of dress is that it looks best in dark neutral hues like grey, black, dark silver or navy.

Flowing Sequin Gowns
Sequin dresses with movement are a stunning blend of sophistication and playfulness. Gowns that blend sequins with fabrics like chiffon or silk have a tendency to be a flattering and very elegant way to wear sequins. We love how flowy sequin gowns have an ultra-feminine vibe mixed with an eye-catching fresh element.
