Calling all “Maleficent” fans: Louboutin has teamed up with Maleficent herself, Angelina Jolie, and created a shoe with a heel that resembles her horns!
The legendary shoe designer Christian Louboutin designed the exclusive shoe with Angelina to wear on her Maleficent promotional tour and given them the official name of Malangeli. For Angelina, the same pair was made in black, white, and gold. Unfortunately for everybody else, the shoes will only come in black and red patent.
On the collaboration Louboutin said: “It is exciting to work with someone who has such a strong aesthetic and character. Getting to know Angelina through a fun collaboration has been one of my greatest pleasures!”
The shoes aren’t exactly affordable but we weren’t exactly surprised; to get your hands on these shoes will cost you $1,495. But there’s another catch aside from the steep price: only 96 pairs will be made and only sold exclusively in flagship stores in New York City and West Hollywood. Talk about exclusivity!
The profits from the sales will benefit the SOS Children’s Villages, a charity that helps orphaned and abandoned children and that Angie is very fond of. So if you take the plunge you can at least feel good about making a difference in these children’s lives.
The shoes will be available for pre-order starting October 20th.
