One Day You’re In, And The Next Day You’re… In

Like the rest of you reading this post, I will always have a fondness in my heart for Christian Siriano. It’s hard to believe that is was 11 years ago that Siriano graced our TV screens on the fourth season of “Project Runway.”

The pioneering designer/eventual winner was fresh of studying fashion in London interning with the likes of Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen. He charmed us all with his larger than life dresses and penchant for his catchphrase “fierce” which was simultaneously injected into pop culture.

On Thursday, the seasoned designer will return to his roots on the Project Runway reboot. Siriano has taken over the role of mentor which he inherited from Tim Gunn.

Karlie Koss will be taking over as host. Nina Garcia will return as a judge, joined by newcomers Brandon Maxwell and Former Teen Vogue editor-in-chief Elaine Welteroth.

Of Siriano on his new role, “It can be hard because you’re changing these young designers’ life with everything you say.” Since winning Project Runway, Siriano has gained an Mizrahi-esque fanbase of an audience that is the typical high-fashion crowd.

He’s used his unique platform to advocate for more diversity and body positivity in the fashion industry. Siriano has stated many times that he believes every body is beautiful and should be celebrated.
