The music festival season is just around the corner so we thought you might like this awesome DIY that takes the smallest amount of effort. Ombre isn’t just for your hair; your clothes love it too! Besides, the warmer months are made for more color so turning that old white button down into an ombre shirt will give your look just the right amount of color you’re looking for. You’ll need these supplies:

1. A plain white button down t-shirt
2. Dye (color of your choice)
3. Scissors
4. A bucket of water

Now, follow these steps:

1. Cut the sleeves off of shirt. This will make for a more carefree shirt but feel free to leave them on if you’d like.
2. Add the dye to the water. About 1 cup for each gallon of water is more than necessary but use more or less depending on how much water you’re using.
3. Dip your shirt. You can choose which end you’d like to dip, both look equally as good. Make sure it’s saturated well and leave soaking for about 5 minutes.
4. Let dry overnight. Either outside or inside is ok. Wash it the next day on its own to get rid of the excess color and so it won’t stain any other clothing.

You’re ombre shirt is now ready to wear!
