It’s that time of the year when pumpkin rules everything: pumpkin lattes, pies, soups, and even lip balms. You may want to eat everything pumpkin related but have you thought about putting it on your face? Pumpkin is full of enzymes that eat away at dead skin cells revealing a brighter, clearer complexion as well as antioxidants, vitamin A and C to help aid in antiaging and smoother skin overall.
Treat yourself to a home spa day and try out this season appropriate facial.

What you’ll need:

¼ of a cup of pumpkin puree
1 tbsp. of Greek yogurt
1 tbsp. of brown sugar
1 beaten egg white (optional but great for tightening pores)

Now follow these steps:

Step 1. Combine the mixture in a bowl. Place in the fridge for at least 15 minutes. It’ll give the ingredients some time to set and the cooling effect will help shrink the pores once applied.

Step 2. Gently massage the mixture on to the skin for 30 seconds and then let it sit for 10 minutes. It may feel a bit tingly but those will be the enzymes doing their work.

Step 3. Wash the mask off and follow with your moisturizer.

This mask is a great way to use any pumpkin puree left over from cooking or carving. Be sure to do a patch test of this mask prior to using, especially if you have sensitive skin as the enzymes can cause temporary redness.
