One of the best things about fall are pumpkins. We’re not afraid to be labeled “basic” because we love pumpkin lattes and anything that has a dash of pumpkin spice because it makes everything taste and smell better this time of the year. What we love even more are the different things you can make with pumpkin puree—like face and foot scrubs!

Pumpkins are a great source enzymes and AHA’s that help with cell turnover and reveal brighter, smoother skin. They also contain Vitamin A and C that improve texture and aid in anti-againg so treat your feet with this great DIY scrub.

What you’ll need:

½ of pumpkin puree
½ of brown sugar
1 tbsp. of your favorite oil (coconut, almond, jojoba, etc.)
1 tbsp. of honey (helps kill bacteria)

Now for the steps:

Step 1. Combine the puree, oil, and honey well in a bowl.

Step 2. Next, add the sugar. It should be the last ingredient you add to prevent it from melting in the mixture.

Step 3. Package it in an air-tight container and enjoy!

This scrub can also be used on your face but do a patch test prior to application. To see other pumpkin-inspired skincare recipes, check out the videos!
