If you’re going on vacation soon, you probably want to bring everything on your vanity. Sure, bringing 3 different shades of red lipstick and 5 different polishes that you won’t even touch once sounds like a good idea but it’s not the least bit practical. What is practical, however, is bringing things you will 100% use.

Here are the essentials that I brought along with me on my trip to Mexico that I used every day:

EPSE

JINsoon Nail Lacquer in Enflammee, $18. When you go on vacation, it’s important to pick a nail polish color and stick to it so that you don’t have to carry around several polishes. This bright coral color from JINsoon was great for the destitation and lasted a very long time before having to touch up.

Tarte Amazonian Clay BB Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20, $36. I’m a big fan of products that do more than one thing and BB creams are a dream come true. On most days I just wanted to even out my skin while protecting it and this BB did not fail me. Looked super natural, too!

Josie Maran Argan Skincare Ritual Set, $24. Travel sets are a great purchase because they include the essentials you use at home but in smaller sizes. I use all 3 products at home and this set just made sense. It comes with argan cleansing oil, regular argan oil, and an argan moisturizer with SPF 47 that protected me from the strong Mexican sun.

Babyganics Mineral Based Sunscreen SPF 50, $8.49. I’m obsessed with baby products (the smell, mostly) and this sunscreen really protected my skin during the day. It’s made without all of the harmful ingredients that other sunscreens have (fragrances, parabens, sulfates, etc.) and it’s waterproof.

Ray-Ban ‘Classic Wayfarer XL’ 54mm Sunglasses, $150. While this isn’t a beauty product, it kind of acted as one. I have slight dark circles under my eyes and on the mornings I didn’t feel like applying concealer or BB cream, these shades really blocked everything out. Plus, they make me look super cool.
