If you’re lucky enough to go to Coachella this year than you definitely already thought of what you’re wearing. You’ve planned out your outfit along with accessories and everything that will make you stand out from the crowd so that’s it, right? Well, kind of.

You’re hair is just as important to your look as what shoes you have on or the temporary gold and silver tattoos adorning your arms. You can accessorize your hair as well and doing so is pretty easy and fun. Try out this braid and you’ll see what we mean.

What you’ll need:

-Floral hair ribbon (regular ribbon in your favorite color or even a chain works as well)
-Texturizing powder
-Dry shampoo (or texturizing spray if your hair is clean)
-A clear elastic

Now follow these steps:

Step 1: This braid works best on second day hair some spray in some dry shampoo to get rid of any excess oil and to add texture. If your hair is washed, spray in some texturizing spray for the same effect.

Step 2: Create a part where you usually part your hair. Then, create a french-braid by starting right behind the ear and braid to the opposite side.

Step 3: Once you’ve gotten to the right side, you’re going to transition the braid into a fishtail braid. Braid all the way down to the ends and secure with a clear elastic.

Step 4: To add more texture, add a bit of the texturizing powder all over the braid. Once you’ve done that, pull at the braid to loosen it and give it more volume.

Step 5: To incorporate your ribbon, weave it from the base of the braid until you get all the way down to the elastic. But if you use a chain, for example, you’re going to want to braid it into the hair as it may get stuck and ruin the braid.

Step 6: Secure the ribbon under the hair with bobby pins.
