We already know that actors and actresses have to go to great lengths just to make sure that a movie is as realistic as possible, but we’re always surprised to know exactly what kind of lengths we’re talking about.
Case in point, Sophie Turner surprised fans when she revealed that she was actually banned from washing her hair for her role on the hit television series, Game of Thrones.
Turner has played the role of Sansa Stark since the series debuted in 2011. It is now at Season 7 and is nowhere near the ending yet.
In an interview with Turner reveals, “For the first few seasons I was allowed to wash my hair because I was an aristocratic young girl. Towards season 5 they started asking me to not wash my hair and it was really disgusting.”
However, Turner says that things are actually a lot better now. “Now I wear a wig so I can wash my hair whenever I want, which is nice. But yes, for a couple of years I was living with pretty greasy hair.”
