Halsey Is Fighting For Women’s Reproductive Rights

Celebrities and fashion are often synonymous. Celebrities support their favorite brands and designers by buying and wearing the latest collections. But it’s not often that fashion and charity are used in the same sentence. In other words, fashion for a cause. That’s exactly what Halsey did to help a cause that she is a firm believer in.

Singer and songwriter Halsey is an avid supporter of women’s rights. She’s has supported multiple Women’s Marches and has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to Planned Parenthood and other women’s rights organizations. She is also actively supporting LGBT+ rights.

So her latest show of support came through a fundraiser promoting a t-shirt that she had designed. The black shirt depicted a woman with lyrics from her newly released song Nightmare: “I won’t be caught dead letting a man tell me what I should do with my bed.”

The profits from the t-shirt went to the Yellowhammer Fund that provides funding and support to women seeking care at abortion clinics in Alabama. The Yellowhammer Fund has been assisting women since 2018 and is committed to advocacy, and support to programming that promotes reproductive justice.
