The Devacci Fashion Label Cinderella Story

They say a dollar and a dream are all it takes to be successful in this world. Entrepreneur Gerald Manu used at least half of the formula when he set off to start his own fashion label.

Gerald Manu, entrepreneur, and the full-time student started his own fashion label out of a small office in Croydon, South London. At the time, he was 15 years old and had no experience or cash to start his business but he did have a dream and the ambition to get started. He recalls selling snacks and drinks at school to be able to fund his dream and get his first t-shirt printed.

Today, Gerald successfully runs his business and still attends school five days a week. He now has five employees to help him and sells roughly 1000 of his fashion designs each month. But success always comes with a cost. Gerald recalls, giving up his social life and his friends for the success of the business and the mental toll that it took on him. His advice to budding entrepreneurs- “ if you don’t have the passion for it, please do not attempt it. It takes a lot to keep going.”
