If we had to name the top 5 things that every girl hates, razor bumps would be on that list. They’re red, painful, and sometimes lead to ingrown hairs or scarring so there’s a good reason to want to avoid them. Worst of all, your legs don’t look as nice if there bright red dots on them.

Luckily there’s one way that can help in not getting as many and that’s exfoliation. When you exfoliate, you’re helping buff away those dead skin cells and helping reveal smoother skin for your shave.

If you want a quick moisturizing scrub, give this DIY a try.

Almondoil

You’ll need these ingredients:

Almond oil (around ¼ of a cup)
Sugar (half a cup)
The juice of half of a lemon

Stir all of the ingredients in a big bowl and mix thoroughly. Apply the scrub to your legs prior to shaving and you’ll be on your way to smoother legs in no-time.

*Chic Tip: Shave in warm water for even more of a bump-free shave. If you have goose bumps while shaving, you’ll irritate them and they’ll turn into red bumps.
