Glamour’s fashion features editor Lauren Chan gives you a few tips for how to break the rules when you are dressing for work. One of her goals is for it to be a normal thing for designers to make clothes and styles for curvier women, extended size ranges, as well as various shapes of women.

The first look is a printed shirt dress. It is Lauren’s go-to when she has meetings in the office, appointments outside, or a quick dinner date after work. While some people say that you are not supposed to wear loud patterns and stand out too much, Lauren loves how polished the dress makes her look and feel. Paired with some jewelry and a nice pair of heels, you are all set to go.

Look number two is a sleeveless dress that shows her bare arms. Even though having bare arms is typically a no-no, this black jumpsuit that Lauren is wearing has a very sophisticated look. It has a beautiful V-neck, a cinched waist and wide legged pants. If necessary, you can top it with a blazer to be more covered up. You can even pair it with a cool pair of white sneakers for a more casual, edgier look.

The final look is a fun Friday one – jeans and a T-shirt. By wearing jeans that have distressing and pairing them with a bright silver bomber jacket, Lauren is ready for her meetings, as well as to run straight into the weekend.
