Sometimes you look at your face in the mirror and think “how did I get this breakout?” when a spot appears magically. You’ve got a good beauty routine down and overall hygienic when it comes to your face so you might be baffled as how you got that spot in the first place. It’s not that time of the month either so your face should be clear, right?

Well, think again. The human body is quite interesting in the fact that everything is connected somehow so your inner health can be easily reflected outwardly and causes some problems on your skin, especially your face.

To see why your break out in a specific part of your face, keep reading.

Forehead. If you break out in this area often, you might want to eat healthier. The forehead is connected to your digestive system so pay special attention to the foods you eat. For better digestion, eat foods high in fiber like oatmeal and prunes and take your time as well so your stomach and brain know that they’re being fed. Drinking lots of water will also help to flush out toxins so stick to the recommended 8 cups a day.

T-zone. This area is connected to the liver so it could mean that you may be having one too many cosmos. Food allergies also cause breakouts in this area so if you have any you need to be extra cautious.

Temples and cheekbones. If you have kidney problems this is where you will most likely see your breakouts. Drink lots of water for a healthy kidney and stay away from sugary drinks.

Nose. The nose is tied to your heart so it’s important to pay close attention to this area. Stay away from spicy or fatty foods like red meat and anything fried. Consume healthier oil and fats like coconut oil and avocados.

Cheeks. The repertory system affects your cheeks so if you live in a highly polluted city or smoke, you’ll be showing it in this area. Smoking is bad for you (as you’ve probably already heard a thousand times) so for clearer skin and better health, cuts the cancer sticks out.

Chin. Lastly, we turn to the area that gives women the most problems, especially at that time of them month. The chin area is purely hormonal so whether your friend pays you a monthly visit or your stressing out, this area will suffer each and every time. Both are part of life so it’s hard to avoid but treat the spots as they come with a mask at night and get rest to relieve the stress.
