If you’re a big Kylie Jenner or Keeping Up with the Kardashians fan, you’re probably in love with the makeup look Kylie has been going for as of late: mauve matte lips. Although her lips aren’t naturally full, she rocks an amazing mauve pout that makes all of us jealous. Luckily for the rest of us, her look isn’t that difficult to recreate.
To get Kylie’s mauve matte put, follow these easy steps.
Step 1. If you’re lips are strongly pigmented, use a concealer to hide the natural color. Your natural lip color can alter whatever color you were going for so it’s important to not skip this step.
Step 2. Line your lips with a mauve colored lip liner. We like Jordana Cosmetics in “Tawny”, $2. To get fuller looking lips, over-line your lips just a little bit. If you go overboard, it’ll end up looking like you tried too hard.
Step 3. Apply a matte lipstick that is close in color to the lip liner. MAC’s “Faux”, $16, is very close to the color Kylie uses and is a flattering color on many skin tones.
Step 4. Blot with a tissue to ensure the lipstick stays on and you’re good to go!
