Models always have great skin and we’re constantly seeing it whether it’s backstage at a fashion show or an ad for a designer. Their pores seem invisible and there are no wrinkles in sight so there has to be something up their sleeves that we don’t know—or do they?

Models Mariacarla Boscono, Raquel Zimmermann, Meghan Collison and a few more give you an insider on what their beauty routine looks like.

The simpler, the better. Most models have hectic schedules so they don’t have too much time to spend on their skincare routine. Splash some water on your face, moisturize and you’re good to go.

Moisturize. Victoria’s secret model Raquel Zimmermann is big on facial oils and properly moisturizing her face. At 31 she looks at least 10 years younger so don’t skip out on the last step of your skincare routine both day and night.

Minimal makeup. You’ll hardly ever see models with a full face of makeup unless they’re leaving a fashion show or a shoot. Foundation can clog your pores and create breakouts if you’re not using the right one for your skin so keep your makeup simple. Don’t forget to properly remove it at the end of the day.

Face massages and facials. To keep their skin in tip top shape, a good massage will help with relaxing muscles (helps with the prevention of expression lines) and firm the skin as well. Do this in the AM or PM a few times a week for firmer skin. If you’re a fan of extreme facials, try the “Vampire facial” Mariacarla Boscono, and Kim Kardashian, tried. Blood is extracted from your veins and injected in to your face. A little extreme but the results are amazing.
