Top Model Calls For Equality In The Fashion Industry

We are lucky enough to live in a day and age where people are actively fighting to make the world a better, more equal place. And while many of the people who work towards this are our neighbors and friends, there are also many famous faces that aim to promote diversity and more. Naomi Campbell is one of those people.

Known for her incredible years of modeling, British supermodel Naomi Campbell recently opened up to discuss racial diversity in fashion. She brought up her fear that the industry will simply treat diversity as a trend rather than transforming it into the real thing.

Naomi, a now-49-year-old, has been in the fashion industry for 33 years. She speaks about the diversity topic from experience, as she was the first black model to appear on both French Vogue and Time Magazine.

And with big names like Versace, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, and Chanel, she is quite familiar with the fashion industry itself. She is very hopeful that promoting diversity will become and remain as important to the industry as creating sustainability is, for example.
