Netflix meets fashion

Get ready fashionistas, for a new competition show is about to hit Netflix and is poised to satisfy your thirst for some new and intriguing designs, brought to you by a some of the world’s best, yet-to-become-household-name designers, who will vie for the top prize.

Hosted by “Queer Eye” star Tan France and model/designer Alexa Chung, “Next in Fashion” debuts its first, 10-episode season, on Netflix on January 29.

Judging by the colorful and enticing trailer, it is bound to tickle the fancy of all those that appreciate some good, fashion-induced drama. It is a competition after all, so, we expect high-stakes and tears, possibly even some backstabbing moves with those garment scissors? OK, maybe that’s a smidge too far, but impossible, if we’re being totally honest.

The series will kick off with 18 designers from all across the globe, who will be faced with challenges pertaining to different trends or design styles, of planetary proportions. To sauce things up, all of the contestants are already seasoned fashion industry players, having worked with major design brands and helped dress A-list celebs. In this case, they will be competing for the opportunity to debut their own collection on luxury retails giant, Net-a-Porter, plus a prize of $250,000.
