The warm summer months may be gone but just because you’re not laying out on the beach doesn’t mean you can have tousled, bouncy beach waves. They’re incredibly easy to style and can take just minutes so it’s great if you’re short on time but still look like you put in some effort. Whether you’re going into the office or going out for some night time fun, give this 5 minute beach waves tutorial a shot.

What you’ll need:

A curling wand
Hairspray
2 clips (to section the hair)

Now follow these easy steps:

Step 1. Section the hair in the following fashion: bottom (from ear to ear), middle, and top. Clip the middle section and do the same with the top section but leave the bottom section out.

Step 2. With a hot curling wand, take one inch sections of hair and curl away from your face. Leave about 1 inch or 1 ½ of the ends off of the wand to make it look more natural. Be sure to always point the rod down so the hair doesn’t have any visible dents.

Step 3. Repeat step 2 with every section.

Step 4. After you’ve finished curling your hair, the curls may look too perfect so brush them out lightly. Finish off with some hairspray to keep them in place and you’re good to go.

This tutorial looks best on second day hair so if you’re hair is just washed, spritz some sea salt texturizing spray all over and let dry before you move on to this tutorial.
