Ever wanted to snag a few looks from Scandal’s Olivia Pope? Now that The Limited is coming out with a Scandal inspired collection, you can.
The women’s fashion retailer teamed up with Kerry Washington and the show’s costume designer, Lynn Paolo, to create a collection that was inspired by gladiator-in-chief, Olivia Pope.
There are 42 looks total and The Limited described the collection as “sophisticated professional” as the collection includes plenty of neutrals, perfect tailoring, but still has a touch of femininity.
The collection was designed as if the shopper were to look into Olivia Pope’s closet and see looks that have been on the show. Every piece was also designed to work well with other pieces with within the collection making it easy to get dressed for work.
On working on the collection alongside Paolo, Washington told the Daily News, “We collaborated from various locations aided by technology”. “We would ¬Skype, send samples back and forth, have meetings in person and online. This all might have been impossible if not for the digital age we live in.”
Iconic pieces that Washington has worn on the show like the cream colored wrap coat and the white dress with a black lace insert will also be included in the collection come late September.
The collection ranges in price from $49 to $248 so, while it’s not the most affordable collection, it definitely includes investment pieces that will last a long time.
