Selena makes her comeback in lime green Versace
Following weeks of unforgettable looks, it’s no surprise that Selena Gomez absolutely showed up for the American Music Awards. Her first award show since her musical comeback, Gomez opened the show with not just one but two original songs in the most dazzling Versace dress. The AMA stage has always been a special one for Gomez; she has performed multiple times at the award show and has always been vulnerably honest with fans during her acceptance speeches. This year, celebrating the success of her two new hits Look at her Now and Lose you to Love Me Gomez glowed with enthusiasm and from the inside out, and she had the perfect dress to match the significance of the wholesome full-circle moment.
Gomez graced the AMA red carpet in a strapless and short lime green custom Versace cocktail dress. The dress featured a gold button detailing down the left side where the material gathered and created a waterfall-like effect. She completed the look with a two-strand diamond necklace, long bob, and neutral makeup.
She then changed out of the Versace piece for her kickoff performance, where she wore a fully-sequined mini dress and switched to her signature loosely waved hairstyle. The performance marks her official resurgence in the music world after her long break following some ongoing health issues and turmoil in her personal life.
