We all have skin problems that bother us from time to time (or even more often) and sometimes getting a facial or going to the dermatologist might not be an option. Another option is getting a face mask at a local drugstore but who wants to put harsh chemicals on their face? Half of the time we can’t even pronounce what’s on the label.

The best solution? A DIY natural face mask, of course! Here are some quick masks you can make at home without having to break the bank and are effective.

Dry skin. This is what a lot of people suffer from during the winter, especially when the weather conditions are extra harsh. Mix 1 tbsp. of greek yogurt, 1 tbsp. of mashed avocado, and 1 tbsp. of extra virgin olive oil. Apply to your face avoiding the eye area for 10~15, wash off, and follow with your normal skincare routine.

Sensitive skin. If you suffer from sensitive or redness, combine 1 tbsp. of greek yogurt with 1 tbsp. of oatmeal that has been crushed with a bit of water and combine well. Leave it on your face for 10~15 and rinse. You can also exfoliate your skin by gently massaging the mixture on your face when you’re rinsing it off.

Acneic skin. We all suffer from breakouts at one point or another and this mask is a great one to make whenever they’re persistent. Mix one tbsp. of honey, 1 tsp. of cinnamon, and 1 tbsp. of whole milk. Both the honey and the cinnamon have antibacterial properties and the milk soothes the skin which will help with making the redness less apparent. Leave on for 10~15 minutes and rinse.
