Chartreuse Is The Color Of 2019

Ready or not your closet is going to be filled with his bright green shade.

Chartreuse was all over the runways for this season; prompting many media outlets like Fashionista to name the color as a key trend for Fall 2019.

Designers including Balenciaga, Marine Serre, and indie vet Barbra Bui all debuted collections featuring the standout green shade. This isn’t the first time in recent memories that designers have been obsessed with chartreuse either.

The color, recognized by Pantone as “Bright Chartreuse,” exploded in popularity during the late 2000s when it primarily used by fan favorite designer Christian Siriano after his Project Runway win.

Fashionista reported that the use of the color in the recent collections stems with designers’ fascination of bright and electric hues like shocking pink, neon yellow, and lime green.

The chartreuse trend is best worn in a few ways. Barbara Bui did it best working in the shade through a black and white color blocked sweaters for her eclectic mod collection. While Zuhair Murad, authority on all things glam, softened up the statement shade in a romantic flowing gown.
