Along with those classic summer beachy waves we all love, we noticed a few standout hairstyle trends at the S/S 2013 shows that are simple to-do and will leave you looking chic no matter what the occasion. During summertime us gals often find ourselves throwing our hair into all sorts of interesting creations as we run out to the pool, beach, shopping ect. Well this summer why not take a cue from the runway and rock one of these simple hairstyles, any of the following looks would be perfectly suited for anything, from the most casual of beach parties to a summer night on the town.
Messy Up-Do
The undone look is in for summer and this style is the perfect do to choose for a day at the beach. This look made a splash as the S/S 2013 shows of Vera Wang, Donna Karen, Badgley Mischa and plenty more fashion notables. The messy up-do has a fun effortlessness that’s indicative of summer and there are so many different variations of this style that you’re sure to find one that suits you. Best of all, the only things you need to perfect this look are a hair tie and a spritz of hair spray. If you’re feeling daring with this trend why not go for an ultra-chic and unique messy side bun or add a braid into the mix for a little extra touch of style.
Middle Part
We love that extra hint of volume we get from a dramatic side part, but this summer it’s all about the easy breezy middle part, as seen at the runway show for the Dior Cruise 2013 Collection, where models looked elegant and chic in sleek middle part buns. The middle part look took on a whole different incarnation at the S/S 2013 Souleiman runway show where we saw models looking ethereal in a simple middle part do that was slightly wavy at the ends. We highly recommend you try out this hairstyle this summer because it’s so wearable and very versatile, plus it easily transitions from day to night with minimal effort.
Half-up Half-Down
Balenciaga’s spring 2013 show is where we really fell in love with this seasons half-up half-down look, with its ethereal beauty and elegant finish, what’s not to love, right! The most important thing to keep in mind when trying out a half-up half-down look for summer is to keep it relaxed and slightly undone, you don’t want to end up looking bridal. Also, try adding in an oceanic inspired hair accessory like a coral reef headband (also seen as the Balenciaga show) or why not blend the middle part and half-up half-down trend for a totally unique summer style.
