If you already have the little white dress that we wrote an article on not too long ago, you’re already in the fashion loop this season with the crisp and clean color that is white. The runways for Spring/Summer 2013 showed us that monochromatic colors are the way to go, especially when it comes to white. Many of the models on the runways of Bottega Venetta, Valentino, and Pucci had models in this solid, clean color from dresses to two piece suits that really lit up the whole runway. What we found even more interesting is that many of the white looks had lace accents on the fabric whether it’s floral or an intricate pattern.
Many celebrities have been seen out on the runway, streets or at red carpet events wearing white and lace and they include: Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Biel, and Rooney Mara. These fabulous celebrities and the runway models taught us that you don’t necessarily have to have golden, sun-kissed skin to rock white so don’t be intimated it you haven’t visited the beach yet.

This color trend is most popular in the form of a dress (which we know you already rock) but the runways also showed us that trousers and tops with lace accents are popular as well. For a casual daytime look, we recommend the little white dress that we’re all fond of this season with wavy beach locks and a pink pout. You look very fresh and awake, something we all want, especially in the mornings.
For a more dressed up look for the evening, try wearing some skinny, white trousers with lace on the bottom and pair them up with a plain white top. To give it more life but still keep within the white trend, wear some nude pumps and some gold accessories. It’ll give you just enough color to not look boring but again, keeping within the trend.
