When BB creams first came out, many of us didn’t know what to think of it. It claimed prime, moisturize, cover, SPF, and provide anti-aging effects so we weren’t sure if it was makeup or skincare but we all learned eventually how amazing they truly are.

Now the market has made something called a CC cream. The “CC” stands for either “color control” or “color correcting” cream. It claims to do everything a BB cream is supposed to do and additionally, it corrects redness or discoloration that your skin might have. CC creams tend to have medium coverage that can be built up without looking cakey like foundation. The ones made in the US and Western countries in general usually have a matte finish while the ones in Asia (where BB’s and CC’s were originally made) have a luminous and dewy finish so keep this in mind if you decide to purchase one.

There are tons of CC creams on the market from brands like Amore Pacific, Chanel, Smashbox, Lumene, and our current favorite, Laneige. We recommend giving this trending beauty do-it-all a try and if you’d like to see a demonstration of it, watch the video!
