The designer contributing thousands of face masks for medical workers

Among the big names in fashion to contribute much-needed help in the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Christian Siriano is joining in the effort to help supply the heavy demand for medical supplies. The designer that made his name on the designing competition show, “Project Runway,” Christian Siriano is diverting production from clothing to create much needed medical face masks.

So far Siriano’s team has contributed 1,000 masks within the first 3 days of production and is accepting donations towards their efforts on their homepage. The brand is based out of New York that is suffering from a shortage of face masks and other essential medical equipment for health care providers.

Siriano assures that their offices are practicing all the recommended measures possible to ensure the safety of their workers saying that their team is practicing social distancing. The Siriano team is working under the advice of enlisted professionals to ensure the masks remain safe and withing regulation guidelines.

Siriano even improved the quality of the material and the design of the face mask so they can be bleached or washed so you can rewear the mask, also helping to prevent from single-use waste. Siriano is also committed to frequent sterilizing and cleaning of their facilities and workspaces.

Siriano is constantly working to donate more masks and is proving the power of the fashion industry through this difficult time.
