David Beckham’s London-based heritage fashion brand Kent & Curwen is collaborating with the ongoing hit BBC drama ‘Peaky Blinders’.
The new fashion collaboration debuted this weekend at the London Men’s Fashion Week, which the former football star and fashion mogul watched alongside his entire family.
The collection was designed by the creative director of Kent & Curwen, Danial Kearns, and followed the theme of British classics, specifically taking on a pre-war influence that doesn’t stray into the costume department. This kind of fashion works well for Brooklyn Beckham’s generation, with their love for ‘retro’ fashion for the sake of social media photos, especially Instagram.
Beckham, exquisitely dressed in a dark camel coat and a pair of matching trousers, says that he’s excited about the collaboration. He also says that he’s a big fan of the show and that Kent & Curwen; Curwen “has always been the look. It keeps the authenticity.”
When asked about the stylish flat cap, he mentions its familial significance. “I got that from my grandad. I wore his from a very young age. Brooklyn has taken it on as well.”
Beckham also appreciates his family’s support at the event. “I always think these days are celebrations everyone can be part of. It makes them very proud to have them here.”
