Many of us are on a constant hunt trying to find the next best mascara that provides the maximum amount of length and volume. Because we weren’t all blessed with Kim Kardashian lashes, we tend to fake it ‘till we make it—even if it means buying growth serums that cost and arm and a leg.

While buying expensive growth serums do work, why not take 5 minutes out of your day and make your own? It’s all-natural so you know exactly what your putting on your precious lashes and costs way less too. The best part is that you probably already have most of these ingredients in your beauty arsenal.

AlmondoilHere’s what you’ll need:

A small spray bottle (one that fits anywhere from 30 to 50 ml)
Castor oil
Pure aloe vera
Almond or Olive oil (for vitamin E)

Now follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Fill the bottle half way with the almond or olive oil. Both oils are great sources of vitamin E to help with lengthening.

Step 2: Fill ¼ with castor oil (for thickening) and the other ¼ with aloe vera (for lengthening). Shake well.

Apply this mix every night after your skincare routine. You can apply the serum with a clean spoolie.
