For many beauty lovers out there, having a face mist near you is essential to your everyday skincare routine. While each face mist has it’s own set of promises, they almost all universally help hydrate your face acting as a little pick-me-up during the day. They can be found in many beauty stores but unfortunately they can get a little a pricey even if they are worth it. And if you have one in your purse, the car, at the office, etc., it can really add up.

Face mists are incredibly easy to make and making them will only take a few minutes out of your day. We have the easiest DIY possible for a matcha (green tea) mist that’s full of antioxidants to prevent wrinkles. Here’s what you need:

Matcha green tea powder (if you don’t have any, 2 green tea bags will do)
Boiling water
Small spritzer bottle
Peeled cucumber (optional)
Your favorite face oil (like argan or jojoba for extra hydration, also optional)

Now for the steps:

Step 1: Place 1 tsp. of green tea matcha powder in a cup. Add 1 cup of boiling water. Whisk well until the matcha has completely dissolved. If you’re using green tea bags, steep for about 10 minutes.

Step 2: Let the tea cool completely. You can put the tea in your fridge to speed up the cooling process.

Step 3: Place in your spritzer bottle and you’re done!

Optional step: You can infuse your tea with a few cucumber slices in the time your tea is cooling down for added antioxidants. If your face is dry, once the tea has cooled, add 4~5 drops of your favorite face oil and shake well.
