Nothing is more frustrating than opening your favorite bronzer or face powder and realizing that it’s broken. If it’s not broken too bad, you try to use it as is for a while until it eventually breaks into even smaller pieces and you need to replace it. Well, think again. There’s actually a couple of ways you can fix that compact powder and we’ll show you how.

What you’ll need:

1. Rubbing alcohol

or

2. Tissue paper and a q-tip

Now, follow these simple steps:

Step 1. Mash up the broken powder until it’s turned into fine powder.

Step 2. Add enough alcohol to make a paste. Using a dropper is ideal as you’ll have more control of how much alcohol is going into your makeup. Stir it with a q-tip to ensure it’s completely mixed.

Step 3. Let it dry. This should take a few hours.

If you don’t want to add alcohol to your makeup, the other way you can fix your powder is by simply breaking up the powder very finely with a q-tip and placing a tissue on top so you can push it back into the mold. This is actually really easy but it might not look as nice as if you did it with the alcohol but it’s more natural.
