Moschino’s New Collection Is A Throw Back To The Sims Video Game

In the early 2000s, a new type of game took the digital world by storm. The Sims was released in the year 2000, and it grew to be a wildly popular game, with a cult following, pages of cheat codes, and numerous expansion packs.

And it seems the hype hasn’t died down. It was recently announced by Jeremy Scott, American fashion designer for the brand Moschino, that they were created a collection inspired by The Sims.

The collection is called Moschino X The Sims capsule collection, and it’s complete with pixel-inspired outfits and an in-person collection that matches one released in the game. This gives you the opportunity to dress just like your Sim in matching Moschino outfits fit for a fashionista.

The collection was unveiled at Coachella by Scott, and it holds several high-end, pixelated, pricey items, including a $1,095 leather handbag and the cheapest item being an $85 iPhone cover. The collection even includes earrings inspired by The Sims’ “plumbob,” available for $220. (The plumbob is the diamond that floats above your Sim’s head).

Jeremy Scott takes pride in this collection, noting that it helps him to meet his goal of bringing his designs everywhere–even in an alternate reality.
