Whether you love them or hate them, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West finally landed the most coveted fashion magazine cover of all time, Vogue. Kanye West had been very vocal publically that Kim Kardashian had to be on the cover of Vogue in the past and had even gotten very close to Anna Wintour as of late to convince her to do so. Photographed for Vogue’s April issue, Kim poses in a beautiful wedding gown with soon-to-be husband Kanye with the hashtag underneath “#worldsmosttalkedaboutcouple”.

The photo shoot depicted a very in love couple that had the perfect chemistry. In every photograph, Kim is seen wearing only wedding gowns while Kanye’s attire is a bit more casual as she’s the center of attention in the spread. In case you weren’t sure of what little Nori looked like, she makes a special appearance melting the hearts of most. Nori wore a few different white dresses like her mother keeping up with the wedding theme.

This particular cover shoot has been one of the most talked about because many people believe that she simply doesn’t deserve it. Kardashian has never really stood out for her taste in fashion until recently because of Kanye and some good stylists. In fact, her fashion track record hasn’t been that good at all and hasn’t led a high style life so why now? Vogue covers usually feature those who “define the culture at any given moment, who stir things up, whose presence in the world shapes the way it looks and influences the way we see it” as said by Anna Wintor’s letter from the editor in the issue but these things can be argued against.

So has Anna Wintour finally loosened her grip? Has the most prestigious fashion magazine lowered their standards or becoming easily influenced by the media? If Wintour’s end goal was a massive amount of attention and people everywhere talking about it, she’s a marketing genius.

The cover may have gained Vogue a lot of attention and it could easily be one of their best-selling issues yet but the repercussions and out lash from loyal Vogue fans could be even greater. With many angered readers expressing their disdain towards the magazine and unsubscribing to the monthly issue, not only will Vogue’s reputation be hurting but their monetary profit will as well.
