Face masks are a great pick-me-up for your skin especially if you’re suffering from things like acne, dullness, redness, etc. It’s even better when you don’t have to spend a penny on it because you can walk into your kitchen and do it. And the best part? You know exactly what’s going into the mask so there are no harmful ingredients on your skin.

If you’re suffering from redness or a rash due to rosacea or any type of skin irritation, including breakouts, try out this mask to help with the inflammation on your skin.

jojobaoilWhat you’ll need:

½ of dry oats
½ of a banana
¾ cup of water
Your favorite face oil (argan, jojoba, almond)
A blender

Now for the steps:

Step 1: Combine all of the ingredients in the blender for about 10~15 seconds. You want the mixture to be slightly liquid-y so that later it’ll go down your sink’s drain easier.

Step 2: On a clean face, smooth the mask all over avoiding the eye area. You can put this on your lips as well if you can avoid not speaking when it’s on.

Step 3: Leave the mask on 15~20 minutes or until it dries slightly.

Step 4: Remove with water and follow with a moisturizer to lock everything in.
