Want a quick berry lip look that’s perfect for the fall and winter months and won’t take too much of your time? We have the perfect berry lips tutorial inspired by Selena Gomez’s makeup at the Met Gala 2014. Keep reading to see how you can get this look.
Step 1. Prime your face as you normally would and apply your favorite foundation.
Step 2. For the eyes, we want to keep it simple so apply a base shadow in a nude color like MAC’s Paint Pot in Painterly or Soft Ochre and lightly define the socket with a taupe color.
Step 3. Create a cat eye and follow with applying a 2 or more layers of a lengthening mascara. Highlight the inner corners to bring more light towards the eyes.
Step 4. You can contour lightly or just dab a bit of the berry colored lipstick on your cheeks for a matching flush of color.
Step 5. For the lips, Selena wore a berry colored lipstick that had strong red undertones. Before applying the lipstick, mute your own lip color with concealer as it can change the color of lipstick. After you’ve muted the color, line the lips with a similar colored lip pencil to your berry lipstick of choice. We like NYX’s Violet Ray for lipstick and Sephora’s Pleasant Plum for lip liner.
