The name Campbell will be infamous in fashion history
When it comes to fashion and modeling, Naomi Campbell is more than a household name. She’s a model, actress, and businesswoman but, Naomi may have just received her biggest accolade yet.
Naomi Campell started modeling 30 some years ago. Since then, she has graced numerous magazine covers to include Allure, Vogue, and Vanity Fair.
She has modeled for some of the biggest names in fashion to the likes of Dolce & Gabbana and Yves St. Laurent. For all intents and purposes, Naomi Campbell is considered by all accounts, a supermodel.
But the British fashion industry has made it official by giving her the well-deserved title of Fashion Icon at the 2019 British Fashion Awards. Naomi Campbell remarks on her long career as a supermodel stating, “It is overwhelming and wonderful that my industry has bestowed this great honor on me”.
In addition to her role as Supermodel and Fashion Icon, Naomi is an avid philanthropist. Her charity movement, “Fashion For Relief”, has been hosted all over the world since it’s beginning in 2005. And it’s no coincidence that her charity will be in London this year. “This is a thing of unity. I feel a divide in the world and I feel like we need to feel united.”
