Moschino turns back time to a simpler time in fashion

Moschino has a reputation for transforming a runway show into a must-see display and they worked their magic for a 1930s-inspired digital showcase. The “Jingle Red” – Moschino Fall Winter 2021 showcase was styled after early runway shows that were common in luxury department shows during the 1930s and 1940s including a host, Maye Musk (model and mother of Elon Musk) introducing the audience to a journey to fashion land.

Much like traditional fashion shows, there are multiple displays for different occasions displayed during the runway show with celebrity models. The Fall Winter 2021 collection was modeled by Hailey Bieber, Dita von Teese, Soo Joo Park, Stella Maxwell, Winnie Harlow, Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid, and Precious Lee.

The Fall Winter 2021 collection might feature feminine design but designer Jeremy Scott created a hyper-feminized version of 1930s men’s suits with touches of tailoring. The collection also draws on the traditional style of women with miniature accessories including tiny fedoras and matching handbags.

This collection isn’t all about workwear also including a leisure line to be enjoyed on the weekend. The casual collection features dresses with a unique print to match the backdrop of a field of cows featuring small handbags and capes as accessories.

One model wore a wig with a windmill on top of her head following models wearing fashionable sacks (Moschino branded of course). Moschino also featured patchwork dresses that are considered common in the country.

The models are then transported on a cosmopolitan trip to the museum with the observers seeming to be the models but the true models are in the art that comes to life. If you think this is already over the top wait until you reach the Moschino jungle.

The jungle looks resemble animals and explorers alike that work in fashion harmony. Some models blend into the background featuring animal prints or embellishments while others were simply vacationing on safari.

The elegant evening turns into a night at the theatre with a star-studded runway presentation by the audience of the runway showcase. Burlesque dancer Dita von Teese wears two outfits during the showcase but the red gown that closes that show has a unique embellishment you’ll have to wait for the end to see.
