The style icons of the 2021 NAACP Image Awards

The NAACP Image Awards ceremony featured a night of stylish stars that didn’t compromise the red carpet fashion event while celebrating at home. We salute the stylish stars of the NAACP Image Awards with nominees and winners.

Actor turned director Regina King was nominated for NAACP awards including Outstanding Directing in a Motion Picture and Entertainer of the Year for her work on “One Night In Miami.” King was the queen of fashion for the awards ceremony wearing a metallic copper Oscar de la Renta dress cut above the knee and featuring a massive train with ruched detailing on the back.

Yara Shahidi was nominated for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series for her role on “Grown-ish” and celebrated in leisurely style wearing Dior pajamas. Shahidi celebrated her nomination from home wearing pajamas instead of the traditional gown but she didn’t compromise with hair and makeup looking gorgeous yet comfy.

Marsai Martin celebrated winning all her nomination categories including Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Performance by a Youth in a Series, Special, Television Movie, or Limited Series. Martin won both awards wearing a custom Christian Siriano all-black form-fitting gown with elongated feather embellishments down the long sleeves giving the appearance of a bird taking flight. Martin completed her award-winning ensemble with 18K yellow gold Forevermark jewelry featuring diamonds accessorizing with rings and earrings.

Janelle Monae was nominated for the award of Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture for her role in “Antebellum” wearing a custom floor-length Christian Siriano dress. The form-fitting Christian Siriano dress featured a black bodice and white skirt with a panel exposing her toned torso. Monae accessorized the accentuating dress with gold jewelry from Jennifer Fisher that matched her short golden hair and red lipstick for a pop of color.
