Wimbledon is fashion-forward for 2019
These days, almost any event is an excuse to dress up and show off. Celebs use galas, award shows, book signings, and even a trip to the store to show off their outfits and make a red carpet appearance. But lately, its sporting events that have become the newest forum to strut your proverbial stuff.
Celebs at sporting events aren’t a new thing. Since the days of Jack Nicholson sitting courtside at the Lakers games, celebs have been making appearances at some of the most prominent sports venues.
But it’s not just celebs at basketball games anymore. Even NBA draftees are getting into the fashion world; making headlines while wearing some of the most talked-about outfits in sports. It seems that sports are becoming more than just about the game and the people playing it.
The latest celeb sporting venue- Wimbledon. This year, thousands of tennis enthusiasts, fans, and of course celebrities, flocked to London to see the best of the best at the tennis championship.
Some of the best dressed included Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge wearing a stunning green Dolce & Gabanna dress and the new Duchess of Sussex, Meghan, wearing a stylish blouse and skirt from Givenchy and Hugo Boss. Needless to say, the fashion and style at Wimbledon rivaled many fashion shows and surely didn’t disappoint.
