The private show collection of Stuart Weiztman is on display to the public for the first time.

The new exhibition in New York is called “Walk This Way,” with a red carpet entry for the exhibit, channeling the Old Hollywood essence of the shoes displayed. The shoes features include 100 pairs dating back to the 1900s.

The exhibit will also feature Sophia Loren in the 1950s and a pair of “Million Dollar Shoes featuring one million dollars worth of diamonds on the straps. There are also pairs of jewel-encrusted heels, with some ornate style heels dating back to the 1930s and 1940s.

There is an arrangement of shoes to highlight the key parts of women’s history. Shoes are featured from the Suffrage Movement in the 1920s with boots, pumps, and lace-up shoes. The display also includes detailed style heels with various adornments.

This exhibition is bringing more attention to the Stuart Weitzman shoe brand, when they just made their debut at NYFW in February. They also have gained attention after the nude ad they ran with Gigi Hadid.

Aside from Stuart Weitzman shoes there are also shoes from a student project to create sustainable shoes, made of only sustainable materials. The New York Historical Society will be displaying the evolution of shoe exhibition until October.
