In a recent trip to the US-Mexico border, first lady Melania Trump wore a true statement piece that literally said “I REALLY DON’T CARE, DO U?”

Many are taking offense in this fashion statement being that Melania is an immigrant herself and is promoting immigration reform. The first lady boarded her plane from Andrews Air Force Base wearing the jacket, but was worn for her landing in McAllen, Texas. She wore the jacket when returning to the Andrews Air Force Base, but not during her visit to the immigrant shelter for children.

The team of the first lady released a statement regarding the negative back-lash for wearing the jacket saying, “There was no hidden message. After today’s important visit to Texas, I hope the media isn’t going to choose to focus on her wardrobe.” Some may consider this a confusion for Melania since she is from a foreign country and not understanding the language, despite the fact that she speaks five languages.

President Trump has a different spin on her choice in wardrobe saying the slogan on the jacket was referring to the ‘fake news media.’ Trump goes onto say, “Melania has learned how dishonest they are, and she truly no longer cares.”

So which is it? Melania was just wearing a jacket or making a statement. It seems that White House staff needs to collaborate with their President to get the stories straight. The irony in this situation is that Trump is calling out ‘fake media’ when he is the one creating the confusion for media coverage in the first place.
