Brooklyn Designed Honored For Working With Former First Lady

Fashion has always been a dream for little girls everywhere. From dressing up their first Barbie to the first time they put on makeup that matches their outfit, little girls everywhere dream of one day being a fashion designer. From humble beginnings, this woman is living out her childhood dream and designing fashion from some of the most powerful women in the world.

Felisha Noel was a little girl who dreamed of being a fashion designer. As a little girl in Brooklyn, New York, she used to play dress-up with the clothes and fashion accessories that her mother, a Grenada native, would bring back from her trips home. She had never thought that one day she would actually be a fashion designer with her own window front at Bloomingdale’s.

Today, Felisha Noel, who still designs clothes in her mother’s basement in Brooklyn, has designed and created clothing that has been worn by the likes of Gabriel Union and even Beyoncé. But to her, the highlight of her fashion career is having Michelle Obama, former First Lady of The United States, wear one of her designs. “Having such an important woman in history wear it, I feel like it has taken me to another level,” stated Felisha Noel.
