dressopants1Start out with a short length dress. Pairing up these two pieces can be somewhat confusing but starting out small will at least make you feel more comfortable wearing them together. A tunic or a short dress is perfect if you’re just starting out because it’ll feel more like a long shirt rather than a dress. Once you feel more comfortable, go longer!
Playing with proportions. If you’re wearing a looser dress it’s important to keep the pants a little tighter to avoid looking lost in the clothes. Leather or skinny jeans work perfectly for a loose dress but tuxedo pants are also great option especially if you’re going to a more formal event. But if you want your pants to be looser and the dress tighter, we recommend wearing a sheer or lace dress for a modern, trendier twist.
Keep accessories to a minimum. Your dress and pants are already doing most of the talking so if you if you were looking to add color or something bold, go for a solid colored clutch in an eye catching color.
