The just concluded lingerie extravaganza by Victoria’s Secret in New York had the presence of the sister supermodels, Gigi, and Bella Hadid. This is the second time the model sisters would walk the runway together since their appearance in 2016.
Gigi had her debut with fellow supermodel Kendall Jenner in 2015 but could not attend in 2017 show which took place in shanghai, China due to visa issues. The sisters have walked individually three times. The show had a total of 60 models while 15 models were newcomers just like the show does every year. Every model was in the fashion house luxury lingerie and the legendary trademark wings.
Gigi Hadid described her appearance with her sister as “insane” and “extraordinary”, having tried getting cast for the show since 2014 before getting casted. Gigi said that she understood that her not getting in then was actually a process for her to appreciate it more now because she has always wanted to walk on the runway she saw it on TV as a girl.
The 23-year-old model said she sees all the fellow angels as sisters and family because they have all had to work hard for the show. Her little sister, Bella walked in skimpy outfits but Gigi came with all the extras, she walked in lingerie with a tartan plaid ensemble and a parachute backdrop.
Bella always looks forward to the Victoria’s Secret show while showing what happens backstage via her Instagram. In an interview with People she reveled everything it took for the models to rock the stage. Se explains that it took dedication and hardwork including learning how to walk a high-fashion runway, with the help of fellow angel Lily Aldridge.
This year’s show will air on December 2 at 10 p.m. on ABC if you want to see the angels in action.
