Rihanna has been busy dropping jaws at the Met Gala dressed a chic pope and rocking the beauty industry with her makeup line, Fenty. Another thing to add to her list is launching a lingerie line.
The artist released that she would be working on a lingerie line in March and now boasts that her collection will have 90 styles. Rihanna wanted to have an all-inclusive line, including plus-sizes and various skin tone shades.
The new line will be called Savage X Fenty and has featured some of the new collection through a New York pop-up store. Her inspiration is to ‘celebrate fearless individuality,’ while broadening the traditional definition of beauty.
She divided her collection into four style types and different levels, from casual to sexy:
She offers lightweight t-shirt bras and daily underwear in 16 colors for her causal or “On The Reg” collection. There are different collections categories on the website with no formal lingerie under this line.
Another collection focuses on casual wear with little feminine accents like lace detailing called, “U Cute”.
“Damn” starts to get from the everyday casual cute to sexy goddess offering sheer corsets, garters, and bodysuits.
The sexiest line is “Black Widow” offering items that would be in an adult store with crotch-less panties and cup-less bras.
Though there are many sizes offered through the collection some fans have felt that she did not stay true to the promise of having a true ‘all-inclusive’ size collection. Representatives have hinted but not confirmed that they will be working to include more possible sizes.
