Fashion shows are a display of art through clothing with Chanel transforming a fashion show into an art show.

It’s hard to say which one we’re the best but here are the top shows and concepts created by the Chanel fashion house.

#10: Spring 2017 – Data Center Chanel
Using a massive floor space to create a data center with mock server stacks and a technology-inspired line. With featured baseball caps for a versatile, casual spring look. They also featured models that we’re dressed to look like futuristic robots, in tweed Chanel suits.

#9: Spring 2009 – 31 Rue Cambon
The runway entrance is a mock atelier to the flagship design studio for Chanel, it’s as if they took the actual atelier to make the ultimate iconic runway. The collection featured the classic tweed suit in neutral colors for spring.

#8: Fall 2010 – Faux Furs and Icebergs
To add a feeling of being cold for this collection the runway is a large show floor feature iceberg installation pieces that models can walk through and around. They featured fur coats to give an authentic cold feel and tying in the iceberg theme.

#7: Cruise 2018 – Modernity of Antiquity
Using large Roman-style columns this fashion show could have been designed by Cesar himself. They feature models wearing golden laurel crowns to pull the Roman theme with the runway style.

#6: Haute Couture Spring 2018 – Garden Party
With spring in mind the runway setting is lined with trellis’ with flowers and a fountain to bring the audience and models into a chic spring garden. The collection was neutral spring colors such as nude and pink, with flower accents for clothing and hair-pieces.

#5: Spring 2016 – Chanel Airport
This runway setting is so elaborate guests felt like they we’re checking-in to board the most chic plane Chanel can offer. The entrance to the show was styled as a terminal entrance, with the runway designed to look like a baggage claim, check-in desk, and flight board. Jet-setter styles featured with luggage for accessories.

Bringing a forest onto a runway show floor with accenting trees and orange leaves, Chanel features coats with darker colors for fall.

#2: Haute Couture Fall 2017 – Eiffel Tower
In a large room with a glass ceiling Chanel erected an exact scale model of the Eiffel tower base, with clouds at the top make the audience feel that they’re outside. The classic Parisian style with Chanel tweed was featured with matching classic hats.

#1: Fall 2017 – Chanel Space Station
With a futuristic feel for the style of the collection the runway was designed to look like a launch pad for a rocket. The style featured we’re sleek and white to feel futuristic.

My personal favorite is Fall/Winter 2008 in which a two story Chanel carousel was constructed with spinning function to allow models to get on and off the ride, while displaying their style. Which one is your favorite?
