Isreali jewelry company commissioned to create $1.5 million face mask

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has created a high demand for face masks and the fashion industry is also offering luxury options for personal protective equipment. A luxury jewelry brand in Isreal, Yvel Jewelry, just broke the bank creating the world’s most expensive face mask valued at $1.5 million.

The world’s most expensive face mask is made of 18-karat white gold and 3,600 diamonds featuring black and white stones. The owner and designer of Yvel, Isaac Levy, says he had to work on a system to be able to create the most expensive face mask in the world.

The customer of this unique face mask is a Chinese businesswoman living in the U.S. and she gave Levy a couple of requirements for her million-dollar face mask. The face mask is required to be N99, which is approved by FDA and European health standards. Levy also disclosed that he had to create a timeline for production to have the new face mask be offered before December 31 this year.

Levy expresses his gratitude in being able to complete this project as it helped to fund his business and provide jobs for his employees during a challenging time right now for workers. This gold and diamond-encrusted face mask is predicted to weigh over half a pound with all the materials when completed.

Levy says that this is the most expensive face mask in the world thus far and welcomes any competition in the near future, promising Yvel Jewelry will create more expensive pieces that will be hard to beat.
