Hosting a romantic wedding party at the Grand Palais

Chanel hosted a limited engagement for a digital showcase at the traditional Grand Palais venue for the Spring Summer 2021 Haute Couture Collection. Staying true to the tradition of the French fashion house, Chanel transported the runway to an equestrian garden party.

This digital showcase is the second consecutive season for the Haute Couture collection as the fashion house is restricted to limited engagements. Despite having a smaller in-person audience, Chanel created a digital showcase that transports viewers to a fashion fairytale.

The circular runway show featured an intimate audience socially-distanced gilded chairs with an exclusive guest list of celebrities and brand ambassadors. The audience featured celebrities that inspire Chanel including Vanessa Paradis, Lily-Rose Depp, Charlotte Casiraghi, Penélope Cruz, and Marion Cotillard.

The creative director behind this collection, Virginie Viard, was inspired by a warm summer celebration of a wedding party with handmade embellishments. Chanel transformed the Grand Palais into an outdoor wedding party where guests pass beneath arches of flowers.

The 2021 Haute Couture collection features feminine styles inspired by minimal masculine features that Gabrielle Coco Chanel was famous for. As the runway theme was inspired by a summer wedding party, the bride stole the show making her entrance riding an elegant equestrian horse.

Model Lola Nicon wore a minimalist dress with elegant embellishments on a long white ecru satin crêpe dress with long sleeve shirt cuffs and a wing collar. The bridal dress features a traditional yet unique train was embroidered by Lesage with pearl and stress butterflies.
