When other designers fill their runways shows with trendy brights, Armani continues to deliver timeless glamour in blue. The designer showcased his runway show at Milan with the theme Rhapsody in Blue.
Taking its name from it’s symphonic inspiration, Rhapsody in Blue has a showcase of smokey tones and textures of sapphire blue, midnight blue, gunmetal, and black to set the sophisticated color palette for the fall. The co-ed collection, comprised of over 100 delicately tailored looks was displayed across a mirrored runway giving the show a modern and polished feel.
For the women, Armani did what Armani does best create a sleek and sharp looks that every women from the streets of Paris to the New York’s Upper East Side covet after. Armani’s women’s wear was heavy on the velvet with many looks being paired with either straight cropped or harem styled pants.
Top looks for men included a many midnight blue patterned suits and a play on traditional textures with a standout piece being a black leather suit worn over a blue satin shirt. Both women’s and men’s ensembles were completed with round, google-esque eyewear which giving the collection a nod to the futuristic trend that’s been prevalent across many fashion week showings.
